Zhu received his PhD in Entomology from Zhejiang University (China). He has a background in both bioinformatics and basic biology. His interest is utilizing multi-omics data to understand diseases or traits. He studied host-microbiome interactions during his PhD. After his PhD, he changed fields to biomedical sciences to model cardiovascular diseases using multi-omics data. His current projects focus on multi-omics analysis in aging and age-related diseases in humans and mice.

In his spare time, he loves to travel and cook.
